Fresh installed and updated win2usb. 64 GB USB stick.

All 3 methods - using iso, dvd, local system - produce a stick with correct data written on it, but when it comes to boot from the stick it ends up with a blue screen (0x00000007b) - always.
I tried it with an ide-hdd installed or without - same results.

The notebook I'm using is prepared to boot from usb, I can boot any linux installation from usb without problems.

Any ideas what I could try?
thx

Windows 7 does not have built-in USB 3.0 support, so Windows 7 to go drive must be to boot from a USB 2.0 port, please insert your usb drive to a USB 2.0 port and try again.

BTW, we recommend using Windows 10/8.1/8 to create portable Windows, because Windows 10/8.1/8  To Go have better compatibility.

Hello,
How can I change the size of the partition ?
I have 16GB and I need the windows to be on 10GB only, is that possible?

Why did you do that? After you create the Windows To Go drive, maybe you can use a third-party partitioning tool to resize the partition.

Can I choose the size of the partition, if so, how?

Sorry, WinToUSB doesn't support it. Please try third-party partitioning tool (acronis disk director suite, minitool partition wizard, et c) to resize the partition after creating the W2G drive.

RE: Generated Windows USB stick does stuck on boot screen - admin - 05-03-2016

Do you mean to say the USB drive is damaged?

RE: Generated Windows USB stick does stuck on boot screen - feeldumb - 05-03-2016

No, I could use diskpart to reformat the USB, but it sure was not bootable any more.

DISKPART> list volu

Volume ### Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status Info
---------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
Volume 0 C NTFS Partition 79 GB Healthy System
Volume 1 D NTFS Partition 59 GB Healthy
Volume 2 E RAW Removable 29 GB Healthy

DISKPART> clean
diskpart
list disk
select disk 1
clean
create partition primary
select partition 1
active
format fs=ntfs quick
exit

WinToUSB left my USB flash drive raw.

So what is
