Can't select destination partition

You don't need to create a VHD, WinToUSB will automatically create a VHD when creating VHD-based W2G drive.

How do I get that VHD based option? I cant seem to find/ get it to show up. Will it only create the VHD based W2G on external drive?

Yes, you are right. WinToUSB can only create VHD based W2G on USB drive. And the VHD option is here:
