Why this guide exists

“I just did my first backup on Win 11… now what?”

A Windows 11 user, right after running their very first backup, asked exactly this — how to set a schedule and browse what was saved.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. The answers are a few taps away — keep going.

1. Go to the Hasleo Backup Suite website and download the latest installer.

2. Run it and follow the on-screen instructions.

01First backup

Click “New Backup”

Home → New Backup

Open the app, click Home, then New Backup to create your first task.

02Pick a type

System Backup

All required partitions are auto-selected — just set the task name, destination, and click Proceed.

02Pick a type

Disk / Partition Backup

Protect whole disks or specific partitions — ideal for the drives holding your important files.

02Pick a type

File Backup

Pick only the files and folders you care about. Enable deduplication in Backup Options to shrink the image.

03Wait for it

Backup in progress

Your first backup is a full backup, so it takes longest. Later incremental and differential backups only copy changes — much faster.

04Manage

Everything lives on Home

Click Finish, then Home. Every backup task is centralized here — run incremental/differential backups, restore, edit, or mount images from the Actions menu.

📋  All your backup tasks, in one place.

05Automate

Add a backup schedule

Actions → Edit → Backup Schedules → Add backup schedule

05Automate

Pick your rhythm

01One-time — run once at a chosen time
02Daily — every day at your set time
03Weekly / Monthly — pick the day
04Event-triggered — fire on a system event

You can add multiple schedules to the same task. Click OK, then Save — the app handles the rest automatically.

06Save space

Keep storage in check

Set the Image Retention Policy to auto-delete old backup versions per your rules — storage never silently fills up.

07Peek inside

Mount without restoring

Tools → Mount/Unmount Image, pick your task or image, choose volumes and a drive letter, then Proceed.

07Peek inside

It becomes a virtual drive

Open the new drive under This PC and just copy — Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V — the files you need.

⚠ After use, unmount via Tools → Mount/Unmount Image to release the drive letter safely.

08Bounce back

Restore with confidence when you need it

After a crash, restore from the Actions menu — or boot the WinPE emergency disk if Windows won’t start.

Quick answers

Beginner FAQ

First backup slow? It’s a full backup; later ones can copy only changes.

💾 Where to store images? A different drive or NAS — follow the 3-2-1 rule.

🔁 How often to back up? Full after setup, then weekly incrementals (daily for critical data).

You’re all set

Past the learning curve, it’s all downhill

Once your schedules run automatically, you’ll hardly ever open the software manually again. Your data stays safe — on its own.
