File System Check Error (0x0013003A00380000)
#1
Good afternoon. I am trying to install Windows 10 on an external Thunderbolt 3 drive utilizing WintoUSB Professional on a Windows 10 Macbook Pro Bootcamp partition. I have the partition working as well as it can and am attempting to clone the partition to the drive.

I can select the clone option, select the external drive, select the partition size, and get through the format step. However, on the next step I immediately get the error: "An error occurred during the file system check.(0x0013003A00380000)".

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please run chkdsk to scan the source boot partition ( Usually C: ) and see if it have file system errors. If Yes, run the command 'chkdsk C: /F /X' fix it and try again. For more infomation about chkdsk, please visit:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows...nds/chkdsk

If it still fails, please send the user.log file located in the bin folder under the installation directory of WinToUSB to us (via e-mail at: [email protected]) and we will resolve it as soon as possible.
