Being nosy: when creating an OS backup, HBS creates the folder mentioned above, and keeps it even when the backup is finished. What is this folder needed for?
Thanks.
(Win 7 Pro SP1 64-bit.)

Thank you for reporting the issue. Yes, it should have been deleted after the backup was completed, and we will fix it as soon as possible.
Have a regsave folder but no hasleobs folder on both my W11 Pro PCs. No hasleobs file or folder.
I also lack the folder mentioned by the O.P., like @CDC9762. My last HBSP imaging two weeks ago was with the current release version of HBSP ... ?
Have a great day.
Regards,
Phil
Yes, that is indeed rather strange. It doesn't exist on my computer either. Further investigation is needed.

Don't know if the fact the OP is using Win7 is significant. I also don't see that folder on Win11.
I made a new OS backup.
The folder in question is generated when the message 'Backing up, please wait...' appears, and is deleted again almost immediately. I have no idea why it was not deleted yesterday.
I will keep an eye on this.

Thank you very much. We will also continue to try to reproduce and resolve the issue.
