I have installed WinToUsb win 8.1 successfully on an external ssd flash drive. This works great and fast with USB 3.0

Now I cannot boot anymore from my internal SSD drive ( stop 0x000000ED error ) and show as RAW in the hard disk manager.

Creating an bootable usb drive (to repair) won't boot either even if my flash drive is unplugged.

HP Elitebook 840 G1 with Samsung 256 ssd. Internal drive win 7 pro.

Any suggestions are appreciated
I'm sorry to hear that.
It is very strange!! WinToUSB just a tool to create Windows To Go, it will not change anything on other disk.
I will pay due attention to the problem.
Thanks.

Do you know how the other drives are blocked when using the Win To Go drive? If there was an hard interruption in in the boot could this corrupt the boot file system?

Regards,

Hans

Please look at this: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/libra...31833.aspx
Microsoft says: Internal disks are offline. To ensure data isn’t accidentally disclosed, internal hard disks on the host computer are offline by default when booted into a Windows To Go workspace. Similarly if a Windows To Go drive is inserted into a running system, the Windows To Go drive will not be listed in Windows Explorer.
