The free version no longer provides the CLI. For details on version feature limitations, please refer to:

Last week, I tested the backup and check/verify images times and important stats using Macrium Reflect 8.1 [MR8] (latest version).
Link to that original post: https://www.easyuefi.com/forums/thread-8...l#pid10857.
Today, I tested Easeus Todo Backup Home [ETBH] (latest version) on my desktop computer. Here is a repeat of my original report and today's testing so far. Next week, I will test Hasleo Backup Suite Pro [HBSP], and add the results to this report.

Dear @Phil,
The following version includes improvements to the 'Check Image' feature. We encourage you to download it and give it a try.
https://www.easyuefi.com/backup-software...251122.exe
Please note that this is not the final release and more testing is needed to ensure its stability.
Have a nice weekend.
Best regards,

Best regards,
I'm your Huckleberry.
Prior to installing this improved version:
Image size 62.89GB
Total time to do a complete check image - 2:41
After installing the improved version:
Image size 62.18GB
Total time to do a complete check image - 1:50
Settings to note. I have it set to do a full backup, keeping the last 2 backups, always retaining first. So, if I understand Hasleo correctly, it checks all images in that backup job (total of 3 in my scenario). One thing that I did notice is that the size of my image dropped from 62.89GB to 62.18GB after installing the test version of Hasleo.

The user copied full.dbi to another disk, then deleted the tasks and backups. Now it turns out that it is impossible to either perform a restore from this full.dbi or mount it.
Or the user brought full.dbi from another computer... and so on.
What is the solution here?

(11-12-2025, 07:06 PM)pt58 Wrote: I thought you may be interested in the results of some testing I have performed using 3 different External USB drives.
I have done a full system backup of the same 4 partitions (100MB EFI system, 16MB MSR, 100GB Win11 C:\ and 800MB Recovery) using both Macrium V8 Free and Hasleo 5.4.2.5.
In each case I ran the backup without the verify option ticked, so I could check the actual backup time.
I then ran a manual full image verify to time how long that took in each case.
I created new tasks in each case so that the backup folder contained just the single backup image.
The USB drives I used were as follows:
External Crucial X8 2TB SSD
External Toshiba 2TB 2.5" HDD
External Seagate 4TB 2.5" HDD
Results:
Macrium V8 Backup Time Verify Time Size
Crucial X8 3m 09s 2m 35s 38GB
Toshiba 2TB 6m 57s 6m 53s 38GB
Seagate 4TB 6m 15s 5m 22s 38GB
Hasleo V5425 Backup Time Verify Time Size
Crucial X8 1m 04s 1m 53s 35GB
Toshiba 2TB 7m 08s 19m 47s 35GB
Seagate 4TB 5m 31s 12m 01s 35GB
Conclusions.
in both Macrium and Hasleo the backup and verify times using ext SSD are considerably shorter as expected.
The verify times are roughly similar to the backup times in all cases for Macrium
The times are acceptable for Macrium using ext HDD
Hasleo produces slightly smaller backup files due to the new compression method implemented since V5
The verify times are longer than the backup times in all case for Hasleo, in one case by nearly 3 times !!
The Hasleo verify times are acceptable using an external SSD, but the times using external HDD clearly need some work to deliver an acceptable time.
Let me know if you need me to clarify any of my results, or to run further tests.
I thought I would share my latest findings on recent releases of HBS
I repeated my tests quoted above using v5.5.2.1 (6/11/25 release)
It is the same system I used for the previous result, but this time I just created backups to an external SSD and an external HDD.
Hasleo V5521 Backup Time Verify Time Size
Crucial X8 0m59s 1m 54s 35GB
Toshiba 2TB 8m 10ss 19m 23s 35GB
Comparing the results to V5.4.2.5, we can see that the backup time is fractionally faster with 5.5.2.1 and the verify time is virtually the same.
Unfortunately, the backup time to the Toshiba ext HDD has increased by 1 minute and the verify time is fractionally faster.
I then repeated the tests with the latest 5.5.2.1 test build (22/11/25 release)
Hasleo V5521 Backup Time Verify Time Size
Crucial X8 0m59s 0m 41s 35GB
Toshiba 2TB 8m 02s 6m59s 35GB
The backup times are broadly similar to the 5.5.2.1 release version, but the verify times have improved spectacularly.
In an ideal world it would be great to have the faster backup times of V5.4.2.5 coupled with the much faster verify times of the latest test build. easier said than done i expect !!
Anyway, nice to see a solid improvement in the verify times.

@admin:
Thank you for the offer. I will be happy to test this Friday with that beta version. Can you confirm that it will overwrite my release version, but save my configurations and Pro license, and recognize my past backup images? Or should it be installed differently?
I am sorry for the stupid questions, but I have never done any beta testing for Hasleo before, though I have for other software programs.
My ESET Smart Security Premium is having a fun time analyzing the downloaded installation file. ESET employs cloud analysis for unknown files. Ah, it finally has declared the version safe to use, and so now my Proton Drive will be able to upload it, which was blocked while ESET had a lock on the file.
Have a great day.
Regards,
Phil

It did save my license information and tasks. BTW, you can export your tasks at any time to have a backup handy.

Even if the image file is copied to another location, users can still browse the image file and then restore or mount it.
