Screen Keeps Turning On and Off - n8chavez - 12-04-2025
Here's an odd issue. With HBS installed my monitor keeps turning on. After 10 minutes my monitor is set to turn off, and show the login screen if I want to use my system again. But with HBS installed, that screen, after initially turning off, keeps turning and and then off again every few minutes. That issue doesn't seem to be there without HBS installed. I'm not sure if a HBS service is causing this issue or not. Is anyone else experiencing this?

N8, I've experienced something weird as well, although different than your situation.
When my System goes to the LOCK screen (only gets there manually), it's set to go dark in about 30-sec after getting there... it does. But then it comes alive once again about a minute or so later, then goes dark in 30-sec. It only does this once then stays dark as expected 'til the next mouse wiggle.
I'll check it against HBS being installed and let you know if it has any effect.

Slightly redefining Post #2 above, it doesn't just re-awaken the machine (while in LOCK) once after putting it there, it re-awakens periodically along the time line, not sure if it's regular or not.
BUT... it stops doing it with HBS uninstalled, completely. Once the screen is locked, it stays that's way and BLANK after the initial 30-sec ON period.
I do run a scheduler with 2-hr IntraDailies but this occurs long after those are done for the day and more often than 2-hr intervals.
I'll try and dig up more info to chew on.

The strange things for me is that I don't use any HBS scheduled tasks, at least not those involving the Windows task scheduler.. I'll keep digging.

Try searching for the cause in the Windows event log by event ID and using the powercfg... command as admin.

Try to forcefully terminate all Hasleo processes, including stopping the Hasleo service.

@Froggie and @n8chavez, we are unable to reproduce the issue. As @aldist suggested, could you try checking the Windows Event Viewer for possible clues? Thanks.

Just completed a 2-day OFF HBS test and the original problem occurred multiple times during this time period.
At this point I don't believe HBS is involved with the monitor wake-up issue.
