The issue may be related to the code that displays application notifications in the Windows notification center, we need some time to analyze it. RE: Hasleo creates an additional entry in the Windows 11 "Start" menu - admin - 08-16-2025 The issue has been fixed in the version below, please download and try it out: https://www.easyuefi.com/backup-software/downloads/Hasleo_Backup_Suite_Free_250816.exe RE: Hasleo creates an additional entry in the Windows 11 "Start" menu - al3x - 08-16-2025 (08-16-2025, 09:00 PM)admin Wrote: The issue has been fixed in the version below, please download and try it out: Fix seems to work, there are no more new shortcuts. I see you also implemented the deletion of that wrong shortcut (or maybe this is the actual workaround currently). Would it be possible to check if that shortcut really points to BackupSystemTray.exe and only then delete it? That would eliminate a possible problem in case someone manually adds a HBS shortcut to their start menu. I don't know how many people actually customize their start menu though. Thanks! RE: Hasleo creates an additional entry in the Windows 11 "Start" menu - CDC9762 - 08-17-2025 There is a setting in the Settings Personalization Start to turn on or off displaying "recently added apps" so in effect you can be getting a shortcut automatically to HBS if it is turned on. Thanks for pointing it out. Windows has so many settings that no one will be able to fully familiarize themselves with them. It’s true that this option will remove the display of recently added apps in that particular area. But just to prevent a mix-up here: This has nothing to do with the creation of shortcuts in the start menu itself which was found in this topic. There’s so much stuff in Windows 11 nowadays that’s often difficult to fully understand, also lots of automation that causes more problems than being helpful. ![]() |
