This would be a very useful feature, especially if it was possible to add and edit comments that consist of multiple lines. It works really well and looks great in Macrium Reflect. Have a look at the screenshot. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the implementation of this feature

RE: Feature REQUESTS - r0n - 04-10-2026 Maybe below is not possible or I am incorrect in that the bootmenu does not get deleted, I tried it once in an older version and it removed the hasleo bootmenu. When I have a hasleo-bootmenu, when I restore a system image it removes the bootmenu (with the, I assume, hasleo partition/data). Unless the system image also contains the fully installed hasleo with bootmenu. Is it possible that when you restore a partition, hasleo leaves the bootomenu as is when restoring an system image that does not contain the hasleo install and bootmenu? Even better would be if it could update the hasleo version for the bootmenu if needed. This would mean that the system backup would also contain the hasleo data based on the version the user created the backup with (This could be possible?). This would make it possible to restore through bootmenu and keep the hasleo bootmenu and keep it up to date. RE: Feature REQUESTS - n8chavez - 04-10-2026 The boot configuration ids stored on a different partition than your OS data. There is a small 300-ish MB FAT32 partition that contains your MBR, and that is where the Hasleo Backup Suite boot entry is located. If you are restoring an image be sure to include that partition as well. Keep in mind, I'm not talking about the boot image itself but just the MBR entry that points to it. That MBR entry itself resides in that FAT32 partition. I'm sorry, but that's not possible. The core principle of backup and restore is data consistency, what you backed up is exactly what you get after restore. If the Hasleo boot menu was not included in the system backup, it will certainly not be there after restoration. RE: Feature REQUESTS - r0n - 04-11-2026 Ok, I understand the data consistency reason. Will the hasleo bootmenu-version also be auto-updated when installing a new version? Or do you need to: remove boot-menu > uninstall hasleo > install new hasleo > activate bootmenu? RE: Feature REQUESTS - pt58 - 04-11-2026 I love the Delta Clone feature in Hasleo . One thing I would appreciate is if the Delta Clone Checkbox could either default to 'ticked', or at least could it be repositioned to immediately above the 'Next' button. As it stands, it is all too easy to hit 'Next' without clicking the Delta Clone checkbox. You then have to go through a full clone which can take an hour or more rather than a delta clone which only takes a few mins. Every time I install a new version of Hasleo Backup Suite over-the-top I do need to re-add the boot entry. The data used is still there, and does not need to be recreated, but the MBR boot entry needs to re re-added. When you install a new version the old version needs to be uninstalled first. Part of that uninstallation, logically I think, included removing the boot entry. RE: Feature REQUESTS - r0n - 04-11-2026 @n8chavez Thanks! |
