Error after latest Windows Update - xeroid - 09-02-2025 After installing the latest Windows update, all of my existing Hasleo tasks give an error when attempting to run them. This happened on 2 different computers. I will post the error code and also the Windows 11 update. RE: Error after latest Windows Update - JayDee - 09-02-2025 I don't see that update even tho' I have "get the latest..." enabled Is there a possibility that Windows withdrew the update. When did you download the update? Can you roll back to see if that fixes things? RE: Error after latest Windows Update - al3x - 09-02-2025 KB5064081 seems to resize the recovery partition for the system drive. I have the same issue here after updating to Win11 24H2 26100.5074. Partition layout before the update: ![]() After applying the latest update: ![]() As you can see, my recovery partition increased from 656.00 MB to 740.00 MB. So to fix this issue you need to update the task and re-check those two "new" partitions. This will force a new full backup unfortunately but there's no way around it as the partition layout got changed by MS. I also have Macrium Reflect loaded and ran it before the Windows updates and it ran fine after the update. You just need to edit and resave the task to fix the problem. RE: Error after latest Windows Update - chmichael - 09-02-2025 @admin As i said in a previous post it would be nice to have an option to do it automatically. (eg. Ignore partition size change or something) RE: Error after latest Windows Update - xeroid - 09-02-2025 (09-02-2025, 12:38 PM)chmichael Wrote: @admin I wonder if that is what Macrium does (not trying to compare products). I'm just stating that I also have a trial version of Macrium loaded and it ran before and after the Windows updates with no issues. RE: Error after latest Windows Update - CDC9762 - 09-03-2025 I'm not the best person experience-wise since I don't run much of my Macrium from previous jobs. However, I can assure you that various features of Macrium have indeed choked on Windows Update resizing partitions. I assume, FWIW, that it is to ensure data integrity when applying older processes to a new configuration. |
