Create boot media - included drivers - Petey - 12-14-2025

Is it possible to see what drivers the ' Automatic driver injection' inserts for bootable media creation?
This was already discussed here, but I find the solution (just try and see what works) not very satisfying, esp. when something does not work...

Thanks.

I'm sorry, but there is currently no way to see which drivers have been injected by ‘Automatic driver injection’. If some hardware isn't working properly, you'll have to manually inject the drivers.

As far as I know, there’s no built-in way to preview the exact drivers injected automatically. The only reliable method is checking the created boot media logs or inspecting the drivers folder after creation, which I agree isn’t very transparent.

Also you can include "DriverView" in your WinPE media and run it from within WinPE to check which drivers are currently loaded.

DriverView is a handy tiny tool from NirSoft:

Non-Microsoft drivers are marked in red so this helps to identify what is included.
Keep in mind though, Microsoft also includes 3rd party drivers in WinPE by default so not all of them are added by HBS during image creation.
