Hello,
I’ve been using a different backup tool for 10 years, but now I’ve got a new PC and found the Hasleo Backup tool. So far, I think the programme is really great. However, I do have a question:
After I’d done a full backup of my Windows drive and then spent another hour or two surfing the internet, I restored the backup for testing purposes. Everything was as it had been 2 hours earlier. Only my browser history still contained the links from a few minutes ago. These hadn’t been reset.
Is that normal?

Ich habe 10 Jahre ein anderes Backup Tool benutzt nun habe ich ein neuen PC und das Tool Hasleo Backup gefunden.Bisher finde ich das Programm wirklich toll.Trotzdem habe ich eine FRage:
Nachdem ich ein komplett Backup meiner Windows Platte gemacht habe und anschliessend noch 1-2 Std. im Internet gesurft habe, spielte ich das backup zu testzwecken zurück. Alles war wie vor 2 std.Nur meine Browser Chronik hatte immer noch die Links von einigen Minuten.Die wurden nicht zurückgesetzt.
Ist das normal?

Welcome to the Hasleo Forums. The behaviour you describe is normal. A backup is a snapshot of your drive when the backup was started. Everything that happens after that backup starts and the VSS snapshot is taken, is not added to that backup, even if it occurred while the backup job was running.
You should research what a computer backup program does because your question indicates to me that you are thinking more about simultaneous syncing, which can be done, but that is not the purpose of imaging/backup software, which is the bedrock of securing your computer from hardware failure or malware.

It seems I wasn’t quite understood; perhaps that’s down to my English.

And that is precisely why I don’t understand: when I restore my old backup, I still have the new data that I collected after the backup (browser history)
That was my question... whether it’s normal for an old backup to be restored and yet new data to still be visible in the Hasleo backup
If that really is normal, the old backup doesn’t overwrite the drive but leaves certain parts in the new state after the backup...
which isn’t what you want when you restore a backup.

ich wurde scheinbar nicht richtig verstanden,vielleicht liegt das an meinem Englisch.
Sie sagten :"Das von Ihnen beschriebene Verhalten ist normal. Ein Backup ist eine Momentaufnahme Ihres Laufwerks zum Zeitpunkt des Backup-Starts. Alles, was nach dem Start des Backups und der Erstellung des VSS-Snapshots geschieht, wird diesem Backup nicht hinzugefügt"
Und genau deshalb verstehe ich nicht , wenn ich mein altes backup zurückschreibe, habe ich immer noch die neuen Daten ,die ich nach dem Backup gesammelt habe( Browser Chronik)
Das war meine Frage....ob es normal ist das ein altes backup zurückegespielt wird und trotzdem neue Daten zu sehen sind beim Hasleo Backup
Wenn das wirklich normal sein sollte überschreibt das alte Backup nicht die Platte sondern lässt gewisse Teile auf dem neuen Zustand nach dem Backup..
was ja nicht gewollt ist wenn man ein backup zurüclkschreibt.
