Of course. That's to be expected. You don't have permissions required to access the image's data on that new PC because the image itself has nothing to do with the other PC. You can always restore the files to the new PC (files) not image.
You can try mounting the partition as writable with this option:
![]() This will give you the option to change NTFS permissions and regain access to those folders. Also: There's an old tool that can help you with the permissions reset if adding your current user doesn't work because of permissions itself: http://lallouslab.net/2013/08/26/resetti...l-utility/ And finally there's an old trick I often use, maybe try this one first: You can start 7-Zip or Notepad with administrator rights and navigate to your folder. If NTFS permissions allow administrators to access the folder (which often is the case) you should be able to enter.

With the 7-zip trick above, I get access to at least part of the users folder in a DBI made on a different computer (my wife's). I can't quite remember, but I thought that with eg. Acronis TI, I could easily access an image made on a different computer. Being able to access an image made on a different computer is really helpful, especially if you are traveling, because you can then have all the contents of a different machine with you as an image and can get in to them if you need to from the machine you have with you.

Thanks to @al3x for the excellent reply. This is currently the effective solution to the issue.
