Request HBSP Pro Version Update Notification

As you know, I have two computers.  I only use one (my desktop) for my testing, so I always manually ensure that I am using the latest version of HBS, whether production or beta.

I was surprised today that on my laptop I received no notice that, or an upgrade button, to download and install the latest version: 5.6.2.1.  My laptop had version 5.6.2.0 installed when I did my weekly imaging of it this week, and three weeks ago.

ETBH (paid) notifies me when a new version is available, as does Macrium 8 (paid) when I launch both programs.

I think that, at the very least, the HSBP product should offer the same capability.  Users should not have to manually check for updates before starting imaging.  That could be extended to the Free version (HBS), but I think it most certainly should be a feature of the paid Pro version (HBSP).

Phil, under their CONTEXT menu, the "Check for updates" option offers a CheckBox to do what you describe above... it has always worked for me.  It will only function during manual use of the HBS UI, not under any kind of task control.  It's supposed to happed when the app is opened.

Froggie is correct. You need to check the "Automatically check for new version" checkbox in the update window so that the program automatically checks for new versions when it starts.
