Thank you for your very kind words. It was a pleasure for me to create the "Welcome" Post, but I was dubious whether it would accurately reflect your commitment to your customers/users. Anyone who has suggestions to further amend it should post in this topic so that we can discuss and fine-tune it.
With respect to the Member Rankings, I think it needs some serious work. First off, I would find it offensive to identified as a "Posting Freak" after contributing 750+ posts. I think it is disrespectful of the members who have contributed so many posts to the Forum. Being called a "freak" is derogatory. It does not accord with the professionalism and courteous nature that I think is the aim of the Hasleo Forums.
You asked for my suggestions. You have seven stars available. I say: use them. It is understood that seven stars are reserved to the Forum Administrator. It is important for Hasleo to respectfully recognize the contributions of those who regularly come here to assist other Forum members. The only "reward" for those members is their Rank, and their Reputation. We all crave some recognition for the time and expertise that we contribute to the Forums to which we belong and contribute.
Here are my suggestions:
1 Star: Newbie (0 to 10 posts) Note: I have never been a member of any Forum where a first post makes a Newbie and Junior Member
2 Stars: Junior Member (11 to 99 posts)
3 Stars: Senior Member (100 to 249 posts)
4 Stars: Contributor (250 to 499 posts)
5 Stars: Senior Contributor (500 to 999 posts)
6 Stars: Expert (1,000+ posts)
7 Stars: Forum Administrator
I will delay amending the Welcome Post Ranks until I get feedback from you and other Forum members. These are just my rough ideas. I definitely think the current Member Rankings system needs serious improvement.
