Show the estimated remaining time more precisely?
#3
@pstein,

I would echo what was said by @admin.  Another major competitor product I own that has been around for years, still consistently has abject backup time and check image time projections initially.  The estimated times only start to become more accurate when the processes are about 50 percent completed.

I think most users would concur with @admin that the initial efforts of the HBS Team should be focused on speed and reliability.  The imaging market is highly competitive, and backup speeds, image checking speeds, and reliability, are what most users base their purchase decisions on.  As a new company in the field of imaging, with a small team, they have to establish and work on their priorities to succeed.

I most certainly concur with your suggestion.  I am prepared to wait for the more extensive backup and check image logs, accurate time estimates, etc.  Those are all excellent suggestions, which I think we all want to see when HBS is universally considered a viable contender in the imaging field.  I think that HBS is already a serious threat to many established companies in that field.  In my testing, HBSP is already outperforming one of the two reputable imaging programs I already own with lifetime licenses and free upgrades for both of my computers.

That said, your suggestions are very welcome.  Thank you for posting.  Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil
