Partition Clone on External Disks Not Working
#5
(07-07-2025, 01:30 AM)Drpat110 Wrote: I'm running HBS 5.4.2.1 on Windows 11 Pro x64 24H2 and having a problem with the Partition Clone tool.  I'm trying to clone a Partition from one External disk to another External disk.  When I try to run this I get a pop-up window saying this can only be done in the Pre-boot environment.  Why do I have to boot into WinPE when I'm Not trying to clone anything from the Internal System disk?  Both disks I'm working with are External USB disks.  I've never had this issue with other Cloning apps (Acronis, Macrium Reflect, AOMEI, MiniTool).  Do I need to download and install the separate Disk Clone app to do this?  I would appreciate any help.  Thanks!

Microsoft just doesn't allow snapshots to be created on USB flash drives, but that restriction doesn't exist for external drives. To further analyze the issues, please click "[Image: memu_normal.png]" > "Save log file" to open the save log file dialog, save the log file and then send it to us via email [email protected]. Thanks.
