Newbie - System vs Disk Partition Image Clarification
#1
Hi,
Potential new user here and I'd like some clarification, so it doesn't bite me in the anatomy down the road. Smile

If I want to restore and have a bootable Windows system, I should make an image using System Backup which selects the necessary partitions to include in the image.  However, my test indicated that I cannot add unnecessary data partitions to this image and am restricted to Windows only as indicated by "System Backup".

Since I may also want to include a data partition or two, I select the Disks/Partitions which allows me to select any or all the partitions on the disk.

So, is the following true?
If I'm careful and ensure I have all the necessary Windows system partitions included along with any desired data partitions, I can restore Windows to a bare disk along with any desired data partitions and have a bootable system. (There is a warning about something similar but I think it really is warning against restoring C only and thinking the PC will boot without the smaller partitions)
