After update windows wont boot. Suggestions?

Hi

I used Windows Upgrader to let windows run an update on my Windows 10 ext USB. However somewhere in the middle of the process it hung and seemed to fail. I can no only boot into safe mode. Any ideas as to how to proceed to repair that or am I sunk and format and new installation is the only option?

Could you tell us more infomation about the issue? Such as the BSOD or other infomation. If it is possible, take some pictures and send them to us.
