2 Stars:  Junior Member (11 to 99 posts)
3 Stars:  Senior Member (100 to 249 posts)
4 Stars:  Contributor (250 to 499 posts)
5 Stars:  Senior Contributor (500 to 999 posts)
6 Stars:  Expert (1,000+ posts)
7 Stars:  Forum Administrator

Works just fine for me (and I become a CONTRIBUTOR Rolleyes )...

I think you shouldn't just be a CONTRIBUTOR. Everyone who has participated in this discussion should be promoted to moderator.

@Froggie,

Congratulations on your promotion as the first Hasleo Forum "Contributor"!  Well deserved!

Have a great day.

@admin,

I have updated the member rankings in the "Welcome" post, as approved by you.  I have also made some minor tweaks to the post, and one typo correction, which I hope meet with your approval.  If so, you can download the final version from my Google Drive: Hasleo Welcome Post.  I suggest you pin it as the first topic in the "General" sub-forum.

I was happy to see that @Froggie was pleased with his new rank.  Recognition is important.

I also did some minor tweaks to the Hasleo Forum Rules.  You did not comment on my concerns about the -1 post rating being reserved to Moderators and the Forum Administrator.  I presume you can't "fix" that, but I do see that it could be useful to Moderators and you to signify your disapproval of the content of a post.  It adds to the PM "warning" to a member to comply with the Forum Rules.

You can download the final version of the Forum Rules from my Google Drive: Hasleo Forum Rules.  I suggest you pin it as the second topic in the "General" sub-forum.

If it meets with your approval, then this topic should be concluded and archived in a sub-forum of this "General Forum," so that, in the future members, will know that there was consultation when the Forum Rules were created, and that, in fact, they were drafted by a Forum member, rather than the Hasleo Software Company itself.

At this time, I don't think Moderators are essential, except for spammer control.  At present, only you can delete spam, so when you are offline, it is left until you return.  Spam is a plague.  Its presence is detrimental to the image I believe that Hasleo wants to create for these Forums as a safe and welcoming place.

As the Forum gets busier, you will need Moderators.  That is why I included them in the Forum Rules.  Volunteer Moderators cannot spend many hours each day here, but if they are situated in different time zones, the Forum will achieve much better spam control.

You would need to somehow identify their role as Moderators by perhaps changing the colour of their actual rank; or, perhaps, you could add a Star and move the Forum Administrator to 8 Stars, with the Moderators having 7 Stars.  I could amend the Welcome post to accommodate that.  If the Forum software can't accommodate eight stars, then I suggest we revise the member Rankings to delete the "Contributor" rank, but lower the initial post count for "Senior Contributor" to 401 to 999 posts.

I also suggest that any posts Moderators delete or add a -1 rating to, be moved to hidden folder that only the Forum Administrator can see, so that you can monitor their performance, and reverse their decision, if you disagree with it.  If a Moderator resigns or has to be dismissed from that role because s/he is too aggressive and won't take correction (I have seen that happen), then their rank should revert to that equivalent to their post count, or warned, or banned, whatever is appropriate.

These are just my thoughts.  As always, I welcome feedback from you and other Forum members.

Finally, I want to thank you for permitting me to participate in what I hope were efforts to make this Forum a better place and more professional.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

@admin,

One other thing before I sign off.  Please check this post/topic: https://www.easyuefi.com/forums/thread-4175.html.

The member has made one post, but the rank "Newbie" does not appear, even though one star does ...

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil
