BitLocker and backups

Thank you for the info.

I had thought that backups using disk/partition would have been encrypted since it is dealing with disk blocks not files.

So, as I don't want encryption at all, backup of any type will be unencrypted (as long as the BitLocker disk is unlocked)... that's great for my purposes.

You're absolutely right, JayDee. That's correct, as long as the BitLocker drive is unlocked during the backup, the resulting data will remain unencrypted.
