What is DiskCloneUtils.exe ?
#1
Hello all,

inside DiskCloneService.exe I've seen a reference to DiskCloneUtils.exe but I was unable to find this executable among those installed by current/latest Disk Clone v5.6.2.0.

Any idea why ? Could anyone be so kind to tell me something more about it ?

P.S.  I have a Professional license. 0:-)

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Best Regards
Rob

Dear Rob,

How did you know it would reference DiskCloneUtils.exe? It's not worth focusing on this issue. The fact that DiskCloneUtils.exe is not included in the package indicates it is either no longer required or just leftover code.

Dear admin,

I already said how I found out about DiskCloneUtils.exe, but don't worry I can understand that if it was just a Disk Clone legacy component, maybe even just a minor helper module now no more needed (probably also because its code has already been integrated into at least one of the other still existing components), then it has just been very quick and easy to delete its presence from list of its still currently installed files, while excluding its previous reference inside code may probably take more time (obviously unless there might be any reason to avoid it to go away).

BTW I never really meant to focus on it.

My question simply originated from curiosity, and also from the fact that no other related evidence about it could be found (but once again I agree that it's also very understandable that documenting it properly was indeed never needed, because as an helper only module it also was really never meant to be directly run by any end user).

Anyway many thanks for your attention (& I also hope I haven't wasted too much of your time).  Angel  0:-)

Best Regards
Rob

Dear Rob,

It seems that DiskCloneUtils.exe is not in the list of installation files, I just don't understand where you found it.
