@Stowdon's issue is indeed quite unique, as no other users have reported a similar problem. The failing backup task is a file backup, while disk backups work without any issues. Based on the log file provided by Stowdon, the backup appears to have completed successfully, but it may have gotten stuck during the post-backup cleanup phase (e.g., when releasing the VSS snapshot).
Since BackupWorker.exe is still present in the Windows Task Manager, the program did not crash but has entered an infinite loop or is stuck. We need a dump file to determine the cause of the hang; please follow the steps below to generate the dump file and then send it to us.
1. Open Windows "Task Manager"(CTRL+SHIFT+ESC).
2. Find "BackupWorker.exe" among the list of processes.
3. Right-click "BackupWorker.exe" and select "Create dump file". Task manager should indicate where the dump file was written to.
Thank you Stowdon for your understanding and cooperation.
Thank you very much indeed for your comments and suggestions.
Unfortunately I cannot obtain the dump file for Backup worker as I used Revo to remove Hasleo from computer and, I assume, it also removed that file as it is not shown anywhere on Task manager any more. With probably too hasty thinking I assumed the problems might have been associated with the difficulties in stopping the program. I just felt frustrated and I wanted rid of it and any possible side effects on my PC. I appreciate that such information would have been a great help here so now regret that but I just wanted to get a good back up done.
Once I am assured that Easus has done that I will reload Hasleo and try making a back up once more to see if the issues are still present. That will take a day or so to do as I am a carer for my wife and other duties are more pressing on my time but I will progress this matter with Hasleo and continue to post my findings. I also have an alternate storage disk available which I will use for comparison.
I have taken note of other comments and will carefully check the image of the backup I have run with Easus Todo.
Thank you again for your interest.
