What's new in this version:
1. Fixed a security vulnerability caused by incorrectly installed service programs
2. Fixed an issue with checking the integrity of backup image files
3. Updated Dutch translation
4. Fixed other minor bugs

Observations about v5.4.2.5.

1. It now forces a 1+ GB download of PE files, from Windows 11 I think, even if you do not check the box for it to do so.
2. When running/booting it from a rescue disk, the Windows 10 logo appears during start up, then a few seconds later the windows 11 logo appears on top of it, and both are visible overlayed on top of each other.

It all seems to function fine though. Just seems a bit "spaghetti coded" now.

We have not changed the code for creating WinPE, so this issue should be caused by changes in the operating system itself. To further analyze the issues, please click "" > "Save log file" to open the save log file dialog, save the log file and then send it to us via email at [email protected]. We will do our best to resolve this issue.

Ah. I think I may know the cause then. Going to test something, will come back and edit with results....

No edit function? Anyway, this was my own doing. I had previously ran the command "reagentc /disable" (disables the recovery environment) and it turns out that also deletes the WIN-RE files that Hasleo was using, so that caused the download of the alternate WIN11-PE files. I ran "reagentc /enable", rebooted, then made a new "recovery/boot" ISO and got the usual expected behavior and no more overlayed WIN10-RE and WIN11-PE logos. Still odd that it would overlay them like that, but it's fixed now.

The good news is that it did actually work and get the files it needed to make a functioning recovery ISO, even though I had tinkered with the WIN-RE files in the operating system. My bad!

I'm glad to hear that, but I'm curious about how you got the overlaid Windows 10 and Windows 11 logos, maybe we'll give it a try.

That I don't know. Maybe it came from the boot section on the drive, like a "pre-load/launch" area or something? The OS is Windows 10 21H2, so that is where the stock WINRE files would have come from. That said, I have used the WIN11-PE files with Macrium before and that did not do the overlaying thing. It just went straight to the WIN11 logo.

Maybe I'll test again myself by installing Hasleo with the WIN-RE stuff enabled, but check the box for downloading WIN11-PE files when making the Hasleo ISO and see if I get the same result. One nice thing about using the WIN11-PE files was the resulting ISO was about ~444 MB as opposed to WIN10-RE being ~540 MB.

Same behavior when using the "Download WINPE files" option with Windows recovery environment enabled like default.
