Yes. It works. The installation Hasleo_Backup_Suite_Free_261028.exe  shows Free V6.0.1.0 Beta

I have also tested within my application with  bat scripts and log directory with my user account Owner and standard permissions. And it works.

If the log file does not exist, when run without GUI open, from the scheduled background, the log file is created with Owner Administrators.

It works both for pre- and post-command

Many thanks for your quick response.

I remain a fan of Hasleo Backup, following my migration from Acronis Backup.

Alberto

Hi,

This version works for me as well, thanks! But the error sound is still played in this version unfortunately.

Made a short video that demonstrates this sound, hope this helps:

- First you get the backup start notification.
- Then the error sound (or notification sound) is played without showing any popups.
- Then you get the backup end notification.

Hi,

found another bug

With this beta, I have found that “Perform a Full backup after X backups” is NOT Working

I have post the explanation in the Important thread “Hasleo Backup Suite V6.0.1.0 Beta Released!”

@Alberto,

We appreciate your continued testing.  This is the kind of constructive feedback that the Hasleo Development Team welcomes.  The aim is that when Version 6 is officially released as a production version that it be as bug-free as possible, as has been the case with most previous versions.  Of course, with so many different computer platforms, and so my user backup strategies, that is indeed a challenge for the Hasleo Development Team, but they welcome that challenge.

Thank you for your contributions to achieving that end.

And, congratulations on your promotion to Junior Forum member. 👍

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

This is expected behavior, because some users want to get a sound notification when a backup is completed or fails, and that's why we play the sound.

But should this sound really be played in the background, even when triggered by a task? If you run this in the background every 10 minutes and you explicitly disable the notifications, you constantly get that “pling” sound now Huh

There should probably be some settings to control when it plays and when it doesn't. Since all translation work for V6.0 has been completed, we can only disable it for now and re-enable it once those settings are added in a future version.

That would work, yes. Or you could maybe disable the sound for background tasks for now. I don’t think someone would expect an additional sound without any confirmation visible at all tbh. I would be searching for a window because I heard something and be confused then Big Grin
