I respectfully disagree with your comments. I am a new customer of a family pack of Hasleo Backup Suite Pro (HBSP), and a new member of the Hasleo Forums. I must say, personally, that I am pleasantly surprised that the Admin of this Forum has repeatedly and respectfully replied to your "posts". Elsewhere such belligerent posts would result in the Forum member being cautioned or banned outright.
It is your right to "take my 'excuses' and money elsewhere", but I doubt that "many other less vocal people" will do so, me included.
As a newbie, I am impressed with the product, bearing in mind that these are early days, and now that they have a paid version, Hasleo will earn some money.
Their conditions are very reasonable. They are a software company. They must make money, and they must fight piracy of their product, to, continue their development and pay the bills. Their licensing structure is very fair: they reserve the right to determine if their product is being used in conformity with their EULA. In effect, we are renting their software on the basis that we conform to their EULA. Find me a software company that does otherwise.
In years past, most software companies did not have subscription portal where users could activate and deactivate a subscription. In all my years, I never was treated unfairly when I needed a license reset, which was rare. For me, that only happens when I replace one of my two computers, which is about 8 to 10 years.
I do hope that you will find a company willing to accede to your strident demands for total autonomy and a blanket exemption with respect to their EULA. Good luck with that!
In the meantime, would you show the developers the same respect that they are showing you . . . ?
