  Backup Operation Failed
Posted by: steveg19 - 4 hours ago - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (2)

Hasleo Backup Suite Ver 5.5.2.3 Build Dec 5, 2025 Win 11 Pro 25H2

I was doing a disk backup of a HDD and I get this message:

The backup operation failed, please contact us for support.
There are bad sectors on the drive. (0x07540069000001B1)
The operation was not successful.

I did a chkdsk on the disk I was backing up and on the destination disk.
I can't find this error code.

I have a zip of the log files.

Can someone help me out?

Thanks

Imaging Performance Testing: MR8, ETBH, HBSP
Posted by: garioch7 - 4 hours ago - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - No Replies

I had occasion today to complete my testing of the performance, via my three weekly full partition system images using Macrium Reflect 8 [MR8], 2026 Easeus Todo Backup Home [ETBH], and Hasleo Backup Suite Pro [HBSP], Beta Version 5.6.1.0.. alternating weekly between them.

Computer:

2019 Dell XPS 8930 SE Desktop Computer
i7 CPU, 32 GB RAM
DELL GeForce RTX 2060 GPU (6 GB Memory)
Three Internal Drives:
Drive 0 [HDD]: ST2000DM008-2FR102 (ZFL0WX49) [1863 GB] D:
Drive 1 [HDD]: WDC WD4005FZBX-00K5WB0 (V30884SF) [3726 GB] G: (Target Image Drive)
Drive 2 [SSD]: SSDPEMKF010T8 NVMe INTEL 1024GB (5CD2_E428_9150_7048.) [953 GB] C: (Source Image Drive)

Common Defaults to all three programs:

High Priority
Full Disk/Partition Images (all partitions)
Source Drive: Internal Intel 1 TB SSD (Disk 2)
Target Drive: Internal WD Black 4 TB HDD (Disk 1)
Default Compression (Recommended)
OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (26200.7171 & 26200.7462)

Listed in chronological order of testing (earliest date to the latest date).

2025-12-05 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
Macrium Reflect 8 [MR8] (latest version)
Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 240.94 GB
Macrium Reflect 8 Image Size: 167.3 GB

Start Image Backup Disk 2: 13:52 - 14:05 (13 minutes)
Start Image Verify Disk 2: 14:05 - 14:18 (13 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 26 minutes

2025-21 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
2026 Easeus Todo Backup Home [ETBH] (latest version)

Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 240.3 GB
ETBH Image Size: 182.0 GB

Start Image Backup Disk 2: 14:56 - 15:11 (15 minutes)
Check Image Time Disk 2: 15:14 - 15:35 (21 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 36 minutes

2025-12-19 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
Hasleo Backup Suite Professional [HBSP] 5.6.1.0. Beta
Two Filters disabled (Page/Hibernation/Swap Files, VSS Snapshot File), Smart Backup enabled, Highest Priority.

Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 235.1 GB
HBSP Image Size: 156.0 GB GB

Start Image Time Disk 2: 14:15 - 14:29 (14 minutes)
Check Full Image Time: 14:31 - 14:50 (19 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 33 minutes

Supplementary to that testing, I noticed when imaging with HBSP, Version 5.5.2.2., on my laptop today to an external USB2 drive that the imaging time was 17 minutes, but the Complete Check Image time was 34 minutes, for a total of 51 minutes.  The Complete Check Image time was double that of the image creation.  The beta version tested on my desktop computer had a far faster Complete Check Image time in comparison to the latest officially-released version of the program.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

The computer does not recognise the USB
Posted by: Strue1970 - 12-18-2025, 01:53 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

Hi

I have created a WintoUSB Windows 10 OS on a Sandisk Cruzer Blade USB stick, and have a separate USB stick (same make and model) which I use for moving files from PC to PC.    However, when I put the USB stick I use for moving files in the PC with the WintoUSB OS, it does not get recognised.  I presume this is because the PC can't distinguish between the WintoUSB USB stick, from the other USB stick, as they are the same make and model -  despite them being two different USB sticks used for different purposes (hope that makes sense).  Does anyone know any way to fix this?

Regards

Besides the default filters that are included in Hasleo Backup Suite, does anyone have some filters that they add?  I just recently added *.OST (Outlook Cache for IMAP accounts) and that saved 4 gigs from my image file. So, I started wondering if there are some other unnecessary files that can safely be added to the filter list.

  Forum Visit Statistics ... ?
Posted by: garioch7 - 12-16-2025, 06:56 AM - Forum: General Forum - Replies (2)

I noticed today that the Hasleo Forum visit stats don't seem to add up.  Is there a bug in the Forum software?

Here is the screen capture showing the visit stats when I captured it (Attachment 2).

I went to Page 7 of the "Who's Online" just to see what the visitors were allegedly viewing (Attachment 1).  It did not make sense to me, guests looking at member profiles, rating threads, etc.  I scanned other pages of "Who's Online", and it was equally mystifying to me.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

Create boot media - included drivers
Posted by: Petey - 12-14-2025, 06:54 AM - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (1)

Is it possible to see what drivers the ' Automatic driver injection' inserts for bootable media creation?
This was already discussed here, but I find the solution (just try and see what works) not very satisfying, esp. when something does not work...

Thanks.

  Access Denied?
Posted by: Epictetus - 12-12-2025, 04:53 PM - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (4)

I am trying to access a file(s) in a HBS image. I have no problem mounting the image using the usual Mount/Unmount in HBS but when I get to where I want to go I get the Access Denied message. The image was made by me but on someone else's machine.

What am I doing wrong?

  Notfall-Stick
Posted by: kabi33 - 12-12-2025, 04:42 AM - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (5)

Hallo liebe Gemeinde

Was nun ???
Mein Betriebssystem ist Windows 10.
Kann mir einer helfen ?

Tschüß

Always displays dates/times in your system's current format not working?
Posted by: Geri123 - 12-12-2025, 02:04 AM - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (4)

Hi, i'm on win 11 pro 25H2 with Hasleo 5.5.2.2.
I activated the "Always displays dates/times in your system's current format" and created a new Hasleo boot menue.
Sadly it still ignores that setting and displays the time in the chosen language and NOT my system's current format.

E.g.
On my installed Windows in english (UK) language with german time/current formats the dates that should be 11.12.2025 (today) is shown as 12.11.2025 (which would mean november the 12th). So when I want to restore backups I must be honest I get confused with the for me "foreign" time/date format Big Grin
While in windows Hasleo shows the time/date in the right order (german), after booting into the Bootmenue it's "UK style" again.
Any suggenstion how I can have my time/dates format while still using the english language in hasleo?
