Purchased BitLocker Anywhere Home (?), followed screen prompts & encrypted hard drive followed by shutdown of laptop. Booted laptop and password screen appears but keyboard is totally unresponsive. Reboot and am able to enter 4 numbers using numerical keypad before keyboard becomes completely unresponsive. Unable to Esc to recovery nor continue obviously. Laptop is now a doorstop.

After trying several things, finally am able to use Esc the minute laptop boots (before password screen appears) to escape to recovery screen and enter recovery key. Am now back to Windows 10 Home.

I will give it 24 hours to hear from "Tech Support", by e-mail!!!, before I start posting reviews in every internet site I can find about this experience and product.

Hello, I tried to install Win7 on an USB-Stick with an Iso. I always get the error "Failed to run system API.(0x0005001501B20000)".

Hello I have been trying to install windows 7 on an external hard drive with wintousb and have been unsuccessful. All I get are errors (Failed to extract file from the WIM file. Please temporarily deactivate your anti-virus software, and try again.(0x000000F306CF0025)) no matter which version I use I get the error even with no antivirus. Can you please help me.

I've tried twice now to install a legit disc of Windows 8 to USB. I'm having a few problems:

1) It's slow and laggy. I think this is because it's a cheap USB stick. I'll try one of the SanDisk Go/Pro sticks instead next.

2) This is the big one - Windows is installing strangely with no drivers for any of my basic hardware (eg. Asus mobile, etc) so half my hard drives don't show up and my system is pretty crippled. This has been the case with two tries now. I have been able to install networking manually from my mobile drivers. When I tried installing the whole pack of mono drivers from the disc it gave me a BSOD so I'm wary to do that again.

Is this normal? I've never seen a windows installation that does this. If I go in Device Manager I have around 20 "Base System Device" entries. If I try to update drivers for these entries by searching the windows cd it says nothing found. It just searches seemingly endlessly if I let it try updating them from the internet.

Why might this be happening?

3) I am wondering once I get it up and running - will I be able to use Windows update to update it just like any other installation? Or might updating Windows risk "breaking" the portable installation?

when i try to encrypt the boot partition the enter password option is grayed out.

Is there a way to have a single WinToUSB work on multiple Mac's?
It seems when I create a Drive it will install and work on the given Mac, but if I attempt to boot the USB stick I created on my Mac Pro it will not boot on my MacBook Pro. I just get the Win Logo and never make it to the login screen.
Any advice?

I bough a Sandisk Extreme Pro USB Stick which I use with WinToGo and Bitlocker Encryption. Worked very fast for one month, until the whole system slowed down. It seems that the Stick does not support TRIM. Is there any software alternative that I can use?

I have a samsung ssd and i used a usb3.0 to sata cable to create a WinToGo USB Windows installation.

And I am very satisfied with the results. But I wonder:

Is it possible to remove ssd from usb cable and put it inside the pc chasis -with a sata and a power cable off course

will it boot????

I have a witogo windows installation and i'm trying to clone it
to an internal SATA3 SSD

I choose clone => choose => which system to clone => I choose partitions => then it tries to create the WinPe

Just before reaching the end we have an error : 0x000000F500CA0000

"cannot update WIM. file"

I tried with A/V disabled and/or admin permissions but the error insists....

Please help!!!
