Old confused dude lmao - OFWG - 03-22-2026

Old ? Yep ! 64 y/o for 8 hours as I type this !   Confused I am a newbie as if it isn't obvious! I am in the planning mode I am of the measure twice cut once mentality ! I have not installed the Free version or purchased version of Hasleo Disk Clone - YET. I will say this is not my first rodeo cloning disks as I have used utilities such as Crucial's  Acronis True Image, which is free with their SSDs with great success !

My issue today is the following gleaned from a previous post in part that says  I'm sorry that Hasleo Backup Suite/Disk Clone does not allow cloning of the Windows operating system or the disk it resides on to a USB drive, whether it is a USB flash drive or an external SSD/HDD USB drive- this was posted in a reply by an admin ! The post also mentions that this cannot be done with the free version as it is funded by purchases of other paid versions , which I fully understand as I am a capitalist !
Can anyone tell me if cloning from a 512GB NVME System  Disk to a 1TB NVME in a USB attached enclosure is possible with the paid version ?

Groogle's AI assistant says it is butttttttt it seems to conflict with  what the Admin said in the post I referenced above ! The only possible caveat being it is possible using the paid version ! If it matters I am doing this with a PC that is using WIN 11 Home and it is configured with 32GB Ram !
Can anyone confirm that Cloning a  a 512GB NVME System  Disk to a 1TB NVME in a USB attached enclosure is possible with the paid version of  Hasleo Disk Clone or should I opt for a different tool ?  There is no shortage of alternatives but simplicity is the entire idea about using computers NO ?  and Hasleo Disk Clone appears to be quite simple in use ! Thanks in advance to all who reply OFWG  Big Grin

Thank you for your interest in our product.

Hasleo Disk Clone can help you clone your 512GB system NVMe drive to a 1TB NVMe drive in a USB enclosure, but please note that the feature of cloning a Windows system to a USB drive is only available in the paid version. Additionally, we do not guarantee that you will be able to boot the cloned Windows system directly from that USB drive (it should be connected and used as an internal disk). If you actually need to boot the cloned Windows system from a USB drive, please use Hasleo WinToUSB instead of Hasleo Disk Clone to perform the cloning.

Have a nice day!

I should o finished college instead of managing a13k desktop environment before retiring lol ! Let me see if I can be a bit clearer both in my description and interpretation of your reply ! My intent is to clone to the larger NVME as the target disk in a USB enclosure , then remove the source NVME an replace the host/source NVME with the larger target NVME , I realize if this is possible it will require a paid upgrade. In reading you response it seems to imply that I would want to boot from the NVME in the USB enclosure .... we do not guarantee that you will be able to boot the cloned Windows system directly from that USB drive...... I apologize for my dense reading of your reply as you stated that "it should be connected and used as an internal disk" so I think I am now on the same page as that's what I intend to do as stated above albeit more clearly . Just to confirm clone to the larger NVME in a USB enclosure using the "PAID" version , remove the original source drive from the PC , remove the the larger cloned NVME from the enclosure install install it in place of the old smaller NVME and I should have no issues ? Correct ? Thanks again I apologize for what appears to be a Senior Moment !
