Deleting Log Jobs
#1
I have been testing a 2025 junk cleaning software program.  I suspect it may have targeted my Hasleo Backup Logs.  It most certainly did nuke my MR8 and ETBH logs.

I can see the Backup Date Logs header for the two full HBSP backup jobs I have run to date, but neither has any data.  There appears to be no way for me to delete the headers from the dropdown list ...  I would like to delete those headers, since there is nothing there.  In the interim, I have adjusted that junk file cleaner to stay away from the Hasleo ... \bin\logs folder, as well as to ignore MR8 and ETBH.

Interestingly, the log of my WIM creation of a recovery drive when I first installed HBSP does contain data ... ?

Any assistance would be appreciated.  Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

Since you use HBS to backup your data to an image: Can’t you just mount your latest backup and copy back everything from \bin\logs folder to your current folder?

That is if those are really the log files you want to restore from. Not sure what you mean by „headers“ exactly. Are you referring to the logs that can be opened from the HBS menu? Last time I checked those were saved in a database file somewhere (in %AppData%? Or HBS \bin dir?).

Unfortunately can’t verify right now as I’m not at home atm, sorry.

The configuration files for Hasleo Backup Suite are stored in C:\ProgramData\Hasleo Backup Suite, containing task file, operation log file, etc. You can mount the latest backup image file and copy these files.

The files under \bin\logs are runtime logs written by the program, primarily used to help developers track issues.

@admin,

It is not worth the trouble to get the logs back, even if I could.  I run two junk file cleaners, plus Disk Cleanup, immediately before commencing a full system image weekly, so the logs are well and truly gone, since my previous two weekly images were MR8 and ETBH.  This week, I will use HBSP.

I don't really need them, and I have shut down the junk file cleaner from touching both Hasleo logs folders in the future.  Thank you for the information as to where the logs are located.

I want to get rid of the two Operations Log Backup headers, with no data in them.  Please see these screenshots uploaded to my Google Drive account.

I can see no way to delete those empty entries.

Have a great day.

Do you still have those 2 tasks configured in HBS? If yes then this is why you see those entries.
Those are just filters to select log entries for the specified task.

If you deleted that tasks and those entries are still there then something probably went wrong in your OperationLog.db database which shouldn't happen I guess.

Dear Phil,

@al3x is completely correct. These two backup tasks should still exist, it's just that the logs have been cleared.
