I don't have an interface change idea that immediately comes to mind, but at the bare minimum, I would at least put a comment just below that choice indicating your previous answer in this thread. Example below.
Note: These two options are not global options, they only work for each filter you add, for example if you add a filter to exclude the C:\Test folder, Hasleo Backup Suite will exclude all files in C:\Test if you check both options, otherwise HBS will only exclude non-system files and non-hidden files in C:\Test.
Interesting, and it somewhat depends on how the individual users "think". What I say below is really the same as presently offered but with the logic reversed and a bit of an explanation.
This topic was enough to make my head spin so I hope I understood it and got it right.
Exclude usage is vague, does it mean exclude from the filter or exclude from the backed-up files.
If I select c:\test, I usually want it to exclude the whole folder.
Right now it appears that the Exclude system/hidden boxes have to be ticked exclude these files in the backup so I think this should be changed.
For this filter only
Box 1: Do not backup any files in C:\test (for info, clicked already by default)
Box 2: Backup System Files present in C:\test (unticked as default)
Box 3: Backup Hidden Files present in C:\test (unticked as default)
When box 2 or box 3 get ticked, it automatically removes the tick from box 1.
It can be undesirable to change horses in midstream since users may already have backup routines setup. Being a new user, I don't know how prevalent this would be.
