@Marcy,
We have repeatedly emphasized our desire to support Hasleo Backup Suite's ongoing development through commercial licenses. This is why we chose to impose restrictions on the Windows Enterprise edition rather than further limit the functionality of the free version, and also why we did not initially release a Home edition. Yes, we intend to relax the restrictions on the free version's support for Windows Enterprise Edition. However, I must emphasize that we reserve the right to limit features in any edition as required by Hasleo Backup Suite's development needs. Furthermore, if an individual user employs Windows Enterprise on their personal computer with tacit company approval, this clearly constitutes commercial use rather than personal use, and the user should pay for it accordingly.
You mentioned that "make difference in client versions really is not awesome", it's clear that Hasleo Backup Suite's development requires financial support. Frankly, without revenue from other products to sustain it, Hasleo Backup Suite's development simply cannot continue. Do you really believe that without functional restrictions, the vast majority of customers would voluntarily pay for the product's value? The answer is clearly no. What suggestions do you have to enable HBS to continue developing under these circumstances?
Regarding the version expiration issue, we have addressed this multiple times. This problem no longer exists in the new version, and I do not wish to elaborate further on this matter.
Regarding ReFS, support has been fully implemented in Hasleo Backup Suite 5.5. As for the issues you mentioned concerning RAID support and the various defects, aside from the "file sync" feature you previously referred to, we don't seem to have received feedback from you on other specific problems. We would greatly appreciate it if you could provide more detailed information regarding these issues, such as system logs, error screenshots, or specific steps to reproduce them. Your feedback is essential to our ongoing efforts to improve the product.
Placing intrusive ads in our user interface is not part of our product strategy. We are committed to providing a clean, professional, and focused software experience. Our business model is built on a clear value proposition: we offer powerful Free and Home editions for individual users, and more robust commercial licenses for business environments. We firmly believe that sustainable growth is achieved by creating exceptional product value, not by relying on ads that disturb our users.
On the other hand, if a software developer can generate sufficient revenue from license sales, why would they risk damaging their own brand by embedding ads into the product?
Best regards,
