- HBS v5.4.2.0 introduced this bug, all versions before that don't create this shortcut.
- Install any of the newer versions and restart your PC afterwards to make sure the HBS service is started correctly.
- Create a new disk/partition backup schedule and run the schedule directly.
As soon as the notification for the running schedule pops up, a new shortcut will be created in the start menu.
So the execution of the BackupSystemTray.exe process probably creates this shortcut by mistake.
Strangely, BackupSystemTray.exe does not contain any code for creating shortcuts.
