Suddenly doesn't find (dynamic) disk
#1
I finally found a backup solution that fits my needs. Many thanks for that.

I've been running it for a while, and suddenly - without any updates (as far as I remember) or changes to my system - one disk no longer appears in Hasleo. The existing backup task, which had been running daily without issues for a month, now throws the error: "Specified partition not found (0x1f650036000000e)." This error happens with automatic backup schedule, as well as when I manually start it.

When I try to edit or create a new backup, the partitions are listed exactly as they are numbered in Windows Disk Management, but the specific disk in question is just missing in Hasleo (disk 3, 7 disks in total). This happens to be my only dynamic disk, so it might be related to that.

The disk is still normally accessible in File Explorer. I have also performed a full reboot and checked the disk for errors. For testing purposes, it does how up in Veeam.
The problem came up with 5.2.2.3 which I was running for a month. I did update to 5.4.2.1, that didn't help.

This is even stranger: Despite my previous attempts and my current inability to manually create a backup, a successful backup did occur about two hours ago while we were in the process of resolving a forum issue. I did not reboot the system between my earlier failed attempt and that successful backup and now.

I checked logs but didn't see any useful information. Please tell me if you need any.

We have not made any changes to the code that supports dynamic disks, and Microsoft seems to have abandoned dynamic disks in favor of storage pools. To further analyze the issues, please click "[Image: memu_normal.png]" > "Save log file" to open the save log file dialog, save the log file and then send it to us via email at [email protected]. Thanks.

I want to add, while it's a dynamic disk, it's not in a raid or mirror.
I sent the logs as requested.
