Greetings. My scheduled backups have been running smoothly for several weeks, however the shut down after done function that was selected in the backup scheme has recently stopped working. This is also happening on my wife's machine. Then, in the next morning, the computer will shut off while I am working. I examined the logs, and everything seemed fine. What can I do? Thank you for your help.

Hi @wedgesture, that’s frustrating! A couple of quick ideas: maybe try running the backup app as Administrator to ensure it has shutdown privileges. Also check your Windows power settings or any sleep timers that might conflict with the shutdown command. Have you tested manually triggering a backup to see if shutdown works then?

Try disabling the "shut down after backup" option, reboot, then re-enable it. Also check Windows Task Scheduler or power settings—there may be a lingering shutdown task or idle timer causing the delayed shutdown.
