HBS v5.4 runs just fine on Windows 7 or newer, so updating to a newer version (with removed timebomb) would've solved your problems as far as I can see. That makes cloning your OS to USB the only thing left that's not going to work with the free version. Since this edge case is basically the sole reason WinToUSB exists I can see why this was not included in the free version of HBS (so far).

But that's ok. Everyone can use the tools that best fit their use cases. For me personally the backup and restore capabilities of HBS outperform every other (free) software right now in terms of performance and usability. Cool
