Not addressing the points we made earlier is something you’re very good at as well. I think there’s no point in further discussion here as long as you’re unwilling to understand or accept the facts that were made in this thread so far.

I can see that you're really dedicated to living up to the Daggett character. Purchasing LTSC legitimately for individuals is done in one of two ways. You can buy it from a MS partner and you must own a Windows Pro. It's called an upgrade license but it installs fresh with it's own key. Secondly you can buy the iot version for certain retailers because iot is oem. If you have any further questions regarding the purchase of I suggest you ask copilot, (it's what I did).
Finally, as I said price is not the problem, the DRM is because it's an added point of failure to a software insurance program. Now please stop annoying me with these kind of questions.

Oh Laaawd help the people that go to @Mint for help. Clearly reading comprehension is not an arrow in your quiver. You have been told the following:

1. The free version of HBS will not function on enterprise OSes. This was by design, and a way to prevent theft.
2. The boot disc contains no kind of DRM or time bomb. You will be able to restore when needed.
3. If the Windows version (read that again - The windows version) needs to be re-registered after a hardware change, that Hasleo support will work with you to solve the issue.

A logical person, after taking these three points into consideration , would conclude that there really is no problem if you buy the correct license. Then there are those who, complain that the free version does not support their corporate OS, you always find reasons to complain. I call them liberals.

Fun part is: Microsoft doesn’t allow LTSC usage for private users. Even if bought from a reseller and technically working, this still breaches Microsoft’s license terms as you would split a volume license. That’s like splitting an Office 365 license and selling seats on eBay. And if LTSC was bought legally as a company, HBS wouldn’t allow business usage in the free/home edition, so it would breach Hasleo’s license terms.

Yes, it does appear that @Mint is ignoring our cogent responses, and I, for one, did not think his "Daggett character" reference was very respectful.  In fact, it was discourteous to all of the Forum members who have tried to explain the HBS licensing scheme, and respond to his complaints with factual answers.

I hope that he is able to find a free product that meets his unique needs.
