File Backup: Hitting The Target
#1
I’m using Hasleo Backup Suite Free V5.6.2.1 and I am trying to restore a file to its original location. The online tutorial shows a radio button in the Restore dialogue labelled ‘Restore to original location’ but I can’t find that button in my version of the program. When I enter the file’s original location in ‘Restore to:’ I don’t find the restored file where it should be, instead I find a chain of folders mimicing the original file path starting at C:. If I specify restoring to C: I find another chain of folders in C:. How can I copy a file from backup to its original location on my PC?

Only file backups allow restoring to the original location. For system/disk/partition backups, please mount the image and copy the files manually. For more information, please refer to:

admin,
Thanks for that, it's easy when you know how!
Is there a way to configure this forum to send me an email if someone replies to a post of mine?
Alan.

@AlanNP,

Yes there is.  Go to the very bottom of the Topic and look to the left.  One of the four options in blue, is "Subscribe to this thread".  Click that, and select from the three options that are presented as to how you want to be notified, or not.

Have a great day, and welcome to the Hasleo Forums.
