Glad I could help!  - As a developer I also use Greenshot for over a decade now and it's one of those tools that make writing user documentations so much faster and easier.

@admin: Do you think it would be possible to have a separate field for directory exclusion that also supports wildcard?

Or maybe it's easier if there's just a prefix like \ and/or / that makes this entry a directory exclusion.
Example: *.exe;\build;\*.old

Thank you for your suggestion on supporting wildcard directory exclusions. We will add this feature in a future update.

You take your screenshot and then you can open it in its editor and draw around, enter text etc.

I never expect a thread to stay focused on the original topic, it's just the way humans interact. My bigger problem is from responses that indicate the poster didn't carefully read the question and related information - not that I've ever done that!
I've learned a lot from the off-topic discussions.

Another off-topic post.  I did test drive Greenshot earlier today.   I wanted to see how it compared to FastStone Capture.  I am sticking with my FastStone Capture.  The Greenshot program is very intrusive, and not as "elegant" as FastStone Capture.

Then I tried to uninstall it using Revo Uninstaller Pro.  That seemed to go alright, but I noticed leftovers in the Start Menu and elsewhere.  With the "Everything" search program, I was able to remove all traces of from my C: drive, except for three entries in the Windows Pre-Fetch folder, which I presume will disappear of their own accord.  There were also five orphaned Registry entries.

So it appears Greenshot does not like being uninstalled.

@garioch7 More off-topic. When I remember, use the "Install Program with Revo Uninstaller Pro" feature as that should capture all little hidden files and registry entries that some installers proliferate all over the system. Then use the delete from "Traced Programs" when I have finished testing.

You are right.  I usually do let Revo Uninstaller Pro do the install, but in this case I didn't.  That was my stupidity.  I have managed to delete the three files in the Windows\Prefetch folder, so now my computer is clear, except for the Registry, and I will let the Revo Registry Cleaner program deal with those entries tomorrow, using a Moderate Scan.

As a rule, I haven't used registry cleaners because they are generally too dangerous, but when Revo released a Registry Cleaner last year, I started using it.  My reasoning was that I had been using Revo Uninstaller Pro to check for program files/folders, and registry entries for years when uninstalling program.  It has worked flawlessly.
