Pre and Post command documentation?
#1
I am looking for a new backup software application and I am evaluating Hasleo Backup Suite to see if it meets my needs. I'm new to this forum and this is my first post, as I am on a "discovery" mission.

My current setup runs the backup program from the command line. There are tasks I need to run prior to the backup running, and tasks I need to run after the backup runs.  I see that the command line utility, BackupCmdUI.exe, is only available with the Professional version.  As I have 4 computers (home use) that I need backup software for, the cost for all four is a bit too high for me.  I don't see a multi/family discount for Professional, so I have experimenting with the Pre-command and Post-command options.

Is there any documentation for using the pre-command and post-command options?  I looked and did not see any in the online documentation.  Specifically what I am looking for is if there is a way to pass the current backup run backup type as a parameter to the scripts.  For example, if the backup job is currently running a FILE backup and the backup was INCremental, then I was hoping I could pass something like %BackupType% %BackupScope%, or $BackupType $BackupScope to the scripts to know if the current job is a DATA backup vs. SYSTEM (image) backup, and if the backup job is INC vs DIF vs FUL.
Any chance this exists in the pre/post commands, the ability to pass backup type information to your scripts?
TIA
