I have a question about this new version, I am currently on 5.9.2.4. I purchased Hasleo Home edition on May 10 of this year (2026) and I just got the update notice, however, I get a popup that says that I will lose some features (asking for another purchase?). So am I SOL and have to pay another $68 CAD?

If you purchased Hasleo Backup Suite V5 with lifetime upgrades, you should be good to go and can continue with V6 without losing any features.
In case you purchased V5 without the upgrade path, you will have to buy a new license for V6, though.

You can upgrade at a 50% upgrade discount if you contact Hasleo directly, see this reply:

@colin.p, if you did not choose the "lifetime free upgrades" version at the time of purchase, then upgrading from V5 to V6 does require an upgrade fee. We currently offer a 50% upgrade discount. Please contact [email protected] with your order information, and we will assist you. If you purchased a version that includes lifetime free upgrades, no additional payment is required.
