Reinstall Windows 10 on partitioned external SSD
Posted by: enriques - 07-10-2021, 08:29 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

I installed Windows 10 on an external SSD and after doing the installation I made a partition.
I had to reinstall Windows 10 on the same SSD but WinToUsb didn't give me the chance
of choosing the partition and therefore I lost what I had in the partition.
I ask, is there the possibility to do the reinstallation without losing the partition?
Thank you very much indeed.

How to split existing partition without reinstalling windows OS
Posted by: emmawarner500 - 07-05-2021, 08:34 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

I've Lenovo Thinkpad 11 generation which I bought recently got infected by ransomware while working on my project of Online Latest Jobs Updates in the USA & unfortunately it only has one disk partition in the form of C drive due to this I lost all my data while reinstalling windows OS and also forgot to make multiple partitions during installation. Now is there any way to create partitions without reinstalling windows OS as I want to keep my files in a separate drive from the partition which contains Windows OS?

  64GB not enough?
Posted by: oswaldpu - 06-13-2021, 01:57 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

Hello,
I created a win2go on a 64GB stick - it tries to boot but shows the rotating circle forever. Guess the reason may be that empty space on that stick is ~900MB.

I tried to clean up the source installation as much as possible, now it holds ~58GB, and I do not have any good idea on my hand how to further delete files or apps, which still are needed in the source installation.

How can I deselect unwanted files or apps to be copied to the win2go stick?
Or what else could I do to reduce the amount?

Thanks a lot in advance,
Oswaldpu

Can we use WTG to install its OS on an internal HDD?
Posted by: doer - 06-10-2021, 06:50 AM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

In the first place sorry if this question had already been here on this forum. But I searched for one and could not find out what had surprised me a little. Or maybe I just have gotten tired of this WTG stuff and I need to take a break from it  Smile

Anyway, the question sounds like the title of this post above.

Creating an image lasts a long time
Posted by: GertG - 06-03-2021, 06:05 PM - Forum: Hasleo Backup Suite (Free Windows Backup & Restore Software) - Replies (3)

Hello,

Creating an image takes three times as long as possible compared to Macrium Reflect, I hope that is still improved.

Otherwise, I like the software quite well

A partition almost full. What does it mean?
Posted by: doer - 06-02-2021, 04:21 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (1)

Is it something I have to consider and do something about this? Drive D almost 100% full.
Asking cause I don't want to loose and waiste my time what I spent on doing this. Also I'd like to clone this Win10 Pro Live to my another flash drive. Now I'm not certain does it make sense to clone (etc.) when I see this in Windows Explorer.  Though an OS works pretty good on my flash drive.
