  Windows 10 - slow working, SanDisk 128GB 3.0 150mb/s
Posted by: Anunaki - 05-30-2018, 03:39 PM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (10)

I set WIndows 10 on my SanDisk UltraFit 128gb Pendrive (3.0 150mb / s) with WinToUSB.

Unfortunately, somehow everything works slowly, it's impossible to work.

Does anyone have an idea why? Install something? Any drivers? Benchmarks?

In the net I read that with a fast not obsolete USB stick in the USB version should work with sufficient speed for normal use. (my pendrive seems to be okey for something like that)

I do not know how to go about it ... any ideas how to start with it?

my laptop is Dell Inspiron 3721

  WinToHDD on Win10PE
Posted by: saalkom - 05-14-2018, 11:51 PM - Forum: WinToHDD - Replies (5)

I'm trying to run WinToHDD in Windows 10 PE. I can only get so far as the main screen, because every time I click any of the four main options (Reinstall Windows, New Installation, System Clone, and Multi-installation USB) WinToHDD hangs for a few seconds and gives me the following error:

Code:
Failed to run system API.(0x00010015015A0000)

I am running the program as a local user with administrative privileges. As this is WinPE and not my main OS, I am not using any antivirus software (which could be affecting registry permissions). I don't seem to get any such errors trying to run WinToHDD on my regular everyday Windows 10 install. The log is as follows:

Windows To Go Upgrader 2.2 under Win 10 Pro
Posted by: Skylinebasser - 05-11-2018, 05:49 PM - Forum: Windows To Go Upgrader - Replies (6)

I have used the Windows to Go Upgrader so far twice and succeeded in the end.
But the Installation process is not self-explanatory since when choosing the Win ISO the Upgrade is not starting automatically when starting up VM.
I had to unpack the Win ISO manually and select Setup.exe. That's not really user-friendly and to be honest your solution can be realized then for free.

Running From Extreme 64GB Has Changed Windows On Local Drive

This has happened to me twice now cloning Window 8.1 to Extreme usb 3.0 works 100%, however it seems when the space is getting low on the 64GB stick windows decides to use the paging file on the local internal drives & also changing the boot menu thinking it shouldboot from D drive & not drive C.

  deleted DVD drive
Posted by: canvecchio - 05-01-2018, 05:01 AM - Forum: EasyUEFI - Replies (1)

I accidentally deleted the DVD optical drive from the Hasleo UEFI boot sequence and my DVD drive is no longer available for use.  According to Device Manager The Windows 10 registry data for the device has been corrupted and the drive is no longer working.  The DVD drive is not listed among the devices in the BIOS.

I tried reinstalling the device driver, but that did no good.  How can I make my DVD drive operational?

After update windows wont boot. Suggestions?
Posted by: littlemart - 04-24-2018, 08:27 PM - Forum: Windows To Go Upgrader - Replies (1)

Hi

I used Windows Upgrader to let windows run an update on my Windows 10 ext USB. However somewhere in the middle of the process it hung and seemed to fail. I can no only boot into safe mode. Any ideas as to how to proceed to repair that or am I sunk and format and new installation is the only option?

regards

Martin

Disk or partition space is insufficient
Posted by: Claudi0 - 04-10-2018, 03:03 AM - Forum: WinToUSB (Best Windows To Go Creator) - Replies (3)

I followed
"How to use WinToUSB to clone Windows 10 to an external hard drive as portable Windows 10"

System partition 200MB Fat32
boot partition NTFT of over 200 GB
Trying to clone a 100GB installed OS
Used an external SanDisk USB3 SSD drive of 250GB

Also Tried with a 500GB usb external disk and got the same error, so it looks the the size is not the issue

Log included
