Let me rephrase. The fact that HBS and every other imaging application required their own PE is what I'm referring to when I say wasted space. Why? The foundations are all the same. Why the repetition. Terabyte's Image for Windows offers a plugin which can be used on any PE, thus eliminating the need for multiple PE, which, now see if you can follow me now....saves space.

Personally I would just use a USB stick with Ventoy. It doesn’t get any easier than this, just put HBS WinPE together with your other ISOs on there and you’re ready to go.

But I'm using uefi partitions on my local drive, pointing to a bcd.

You can still make it work with your own WinPE then if you import the registry path I wrote to your own WinPE. This can be done with DISM by mounting/editing the WIM file of your WinPE and importing the registry path.

Yeah. That's what I'll end up doing. I just wish HBS made it easier, perhaps with a portable version.
