Imaging Performance Testing: MR8, ETBH, HBSP
#1
I had occasion today to complete my testing of the performance, via my three weekly full partition system images using Macrium Reflect 8 [MR8], 2026 Easeus Todo Backup Home [ETBH], and Hasleo Backup Suite Pro [HBSP], Beta Version 5.6.1.0.. alternating weekly between them.

Computer:

2019 Dell XPS 8930 SE Desktop Computer
i7 CPU, 32 GB RAM
DELL GeForce RTX 2060 GPU (6 GB Memory)
Three Internal Drives:
Drive 0 [HDD]: ST2000DM008-2FR102 (ZFL0WX49) [1863 GB] D:
Drive 1 [HDD]: WDC WD4005FZBX-00K5WB0 (V30884SF) [3726 GB] G: (Target Image Drive)
Drive 2 [SSD]: SSDPEMKF010T8 NVMe INTEL 1024GB (5CD2_E428_9150_7048.) [953 GB] C: (Source Image Drive)

Common Defaults to all three programs:

Target Drive: Internal WD Black 4 TB HDD (Disk 1)
Default Compression (Recommended)
OS: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (26200.7171 & 26200.7462)

Listed in chronological order of testing (earliest date to the latest date).

2025-12-05 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
Macrium Reflect 8 [MR8] (latest version)
Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 240.94 GB
Macrium Reflect 8 Image Size: 167.3 GB

Start Image Backup Disk 2: 13:52 - 14:05 (13 minutes)
Start Image Verify Disk 2: 14:05 - 14:18 (13 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 26 minutes

2025-21 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
2026 Easeus Todo Backup Home [ETBH] (latest version)

Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 240.3 GB
ETBH Image Size: 182.0 GB

Start Image Backup Disk 2: 14:56 - 15:11 (15 minutes)
Check Image Time Disk 2: 15:14 - 15:35 (21 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 36 minutes

2025-12-19 (Times rounded off to the nearest minute)
Hasleo Backup Suite Professional [HBSP] 5.6.1.0. Beta
Two Filters disabled (Page/Hibernation/Swap Files, VSS Snapshot File), Smart Backup enabled, Highest Priority.

Disk 2 (6 partitions) Size: 235.1 GB
HBSP Image Size: 156.0 GB GB

Start Image Time Disk 2: 14:15 - 14:29 (14 minutes)
Check Full Image Time: 14:31 - 14:50 (19 minutes)
Total Imaging Time: 33 minutes

Supplementary to that testing, I noticed when imaging with HBSP, Version 5.5.2.2., on my laptop today to an external USB2 drive that the imaging time was 17 minutes, but the Complete Check Image time was 34 minutes, for a total of 51 minutes.  The Complete Check Image time was double that of the image creation.  The beta version tested on my desktop computer had a far faster Complete Check Image time in comparison to the latest officially-released version of the program.

Have a great day.

Phil

Dear Phil,

Thank you very much for sharing your detailed and valuable feedback after conducting comprehensive testing of Macrium Reflect, Easeus Todo Backup, and Hasleo Backup Suite. We're delighted to hear that the Hasleo beta version has made significant progress in reducing the time required for full image checks compared to the official release.

Based on the test results you provided, Hasleo Backup Suite still has room for improvement. We will strive to make further enhancements, though this will be challenging.

Wishing you a pleasant holiday!

Best regards,

@admin,

I am happy to continue posting my tri-weekly comparison testing on my desktop platform.  I appreciate that Hasleo considers my real-world testing to be of benefit.  I wish Hasleo every success.

Yes, the Hasleo Full Image Check times are not good in the current officially-released version.  That is why I chose to use the latest beta version for my desktop testing, but used the latest official version for my laptop, the results of which I do not record.

I personally think that the small Hasleo Development Team has much reason to be satisfied with the enhancements and improvements made so far to such a relatively "young" product.  It took ETBH years to get their Full Check Image times to where they are now.  For years, their Check Image took 1.5 times as long as the image creation, which was also not the fastest in those days.

I salute and commend the expertise and dedication of the Hasleo Development Team.  There is always "room for improvement" with every product.  I have every confidence that the Hasleo Backup Suite Pro will continue to evolve and improve.

I thank you for your wish for a pleasant holiday, and I wish you, and the Hasleo Team, the same.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil
