Dear Phil,
Thanks for the detailed follow-up and for confirming the real issue was the USB drive. Glad to hear HBS is working well for you.
Have a great day too!
Best regards,

You need to edit/correct the HBSP Image size as it cannot be 17.5 GB.

@AdvancedSetup,
Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge my testing. I have been doing it for months now, posting my results every three weeks, as I alternate my weekly imaging between the three products.
What has impressed me is the steady improvement in the imaging and full check image times of the Hasleo Backup Suite, as well as its smaller images, in comparison to the other two products. That demonstrates to me an ongoing commitment by the Hasleo Team to produce a best-in-class imaging solution. I don't know when HBS Free was first introduced, but the first post in the HBS sub-Forum starts in 2021, so that is quite a remarkable achievement for the Hasleo Team to create a better product than well-established products in such a relatively short time. I understand that the Hasleo Team has many more enhancements on their "roadmap" for future versions.
One caveat is that I am not testing HBS against MRX, since I refuse to purchase subscription-based imaging software. Another is that I am not doing SSD-to-SSD comparisons, because my Target drive is a WD Black internal 4 TB HDD drive (SSD-to-HDD). The results that I have seen reported here by those using SSD-to-SSD backups is VERY impressive.
There has been a significant improvement in HBS since I first started using it, after paying for the lifetime Pro version with free version upgrades, back on 2025-10-30 when Hasleo first offered the paid Pro versions.
Have a great day, and it is great to see you here, participating in the HBS Forum.
Regards,
Phil

The irony here is that Reflect X is the main competitor to HBS, and most likely the one test everyone here wants he see. I supposed you could image with HBS, install the trial of Reflect X and then restore the HBS image.

Comparing MRX to HBS is a curiosity. It is immaterial for the typical home PC user who will either use the whatever supported free version is available or the lowest cost product that meets their requirements. The unscientific comparison performed by @garioch7 in a single configuration is informative for this typical audience.
As you suggested there are ways that you could do the comparison in your own environment at minimal or no cost.
The SME and other businesses users will perform their own benchmarks.

Except that the free version of Reflect is not supported, and we've seen it have driver issue recently that X does not have. Users know that. That's why X is the main competitor, not the free version.
