I haven't seen this error for a few years, but it seems to be back again. Any one else? Is this from a recent Windows Update?

Please check whether you have selected the "Smart Backup" option on the advanced page of the backup options. If it is not selected, please select it. If the issue persists, click “Edit” on the task, reselect the partitions you want to back up, and then save the task.

The option was NOT enabled. I enabled it, but it hasnt been a problem until last night.

Since the May MicroSloth UPDs have just been issued (2-days ago), you may have been updated prior to last night which may have caused the problem described by the Forum ADMIN.  Try again after the setting change...

I’ve seen Windows updates mess with backup partitions before, especially after major cumulative updates. If reselecting the partitions fixes it, then the update probably changed the partition identifiers and broke the old task config.

As Froggie and theodore2 mentioned, Windows updates may cause changes to the geometry of the partitions. Therefore, please enable Smart Backup first, then manually perform a backup to verify whether the backup can run properly.
