Tested from within WinPE - a tad faster than Macrium - quite happy

I have first hand experience with a few small issues. Support was extremely responsive and resolved them very quickly. Almost seemed like they were my personal support team.

@Morph000,

I concur with the comments by my colleagues, @al3x and @Bespoken.  Hasleo Support is second-to-none!

As for what "online stories" you have read, to which @al3x stated he is unare of any, so am I also completely unaware of any such credible reports.  I frequent a number of other respected Forums.  Perhaps you would be kind enough to share a link or two in plain text (no hyperlink) so we could all check them out.

If there are "credible reports", I am certain that that the Hasleo Development Team would want to review them, and fix any possible deficiencies in the Hasleo Backup Suite as quickly as possible.  Their past history speaks for itself.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

This also explains the size differences. When backing up from WinPE directly, VSS is not available so VSS snapshots residing in C:\System Volume Information\ will be backed up as well.  Another good reason to always back up from within Windows.

Also, there's the HBS rescue disk that was created, which can take up to 1 GB. If the HBS backup was taken afterwards, it probably contains that ISO as well, increasing the image size slightly.

We'll try to troubleshoot it in WinPE, though debugging under WinPE is quite troublesome. But for now, the important thing is to get V6 released first.

Ehr .... I've been using v6 (6.0.0.1A) as my regular version now for quite a few days. Looks good to me. Admittedly I only ever do manual full-system backups, so may be I am not a good test.

Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear v6 (6.0.0.1A) has been running well for you. Any testing and feedback is always welcome, real-world experience from users like you is incredibly valuable.

@garioch7, thank you very much for your support! Indeed, should any backup issues exist, our development team will make every effort to resolve them.

@al3x, thank you! Taking user feedback seriously and fixing issues quickly is something we take great pride in, and it's the reports and logs from users that make this possible.

@Bespoken, hearing that we feel "almost like your personal support team" is one of the best compliments we could receive. We're just a small team, but we're willing to listen to every single user.

Thank you all for your trust and support. We'll keep working hard!

Have a nice weekend!

This comment isn't directed at Hasleo, but opposition products btw...

@Morph000,

Thank you for the clarification.  The Hasleo Development Team takes all bug reports very seriously.  Their stellar reputation for a reliable and complete backup program is hard-earned, every day, as it has been since HBS was introduced in May 2021.

If there were credible reports, they would want to investigate and fix any issues.  If there were one or more posts with misinformation about the Hasleo Backup Suite on other websites, the Forum Team would like to know so that the real facts could be presented.

That is why I was so interested, as were the @admin and @al3x, in responding to your previous post.

Have a great day.

Regards,
Phil

Hey there,

I moved some of the discussion related to compression levels, comparison to Macrium and possible misinformation about HBS to this own thread.
Hope that helps freeing up the release thread a bit.

Feel free to continue here, of course Wink
