Hasleo Backup Suite V6.0 Beta (V6.0.1.0) Released!

The update installed smoothly as normal, and appears to function normally.

Starting the PE Network manager still has to pop-up error. The resolution was discussed many months ago, and the fix should be incorporated in the build. The change is to include

"%SYSTEMDRIVE%\Windows\System32\net.exe", start tcpipreg
as the second line in the Winpeshl.ini.

Update installed without any problems.
So now we're officially in the beta branch for version 6, nice!

I know that worked in my tests here, but that wouldn't be a good fix unfortunately. HBS currently tries to start the program twice on purpose:

Regarding the issue of PE Network Manager starting twice, this was indeed an intentional design on our part. In early testing, we found that starting it only once could not guarantee that the interface would be brought up properly, so we changed to attempting two launches to ensure success.

However, Holger mentioned that this might be one of the reasons for the first launch error. If his future versions can resolve this issue from the program itself, we would be happy to adjust Hasleo Backup Suite's logic for launching the program accordingly.

I wrote with Holger (creator of PE Network Manager) a few more times in the meantime and there still is a new version of PENM in the works. There's some delay though due to some unrelated problems. But there will be a new version out eventually. And with that there will be a check if PENM is already running.

So let's just wait for the PENM update and then we can probably also use the new version for HBS

Smooth installation.  I see no issues so far, but I have not done any testing and won't be doing any for three weeks, when HBS is next tested in my triweekly testing schedule.  By then, I am certain there will be a successor to this version!
